Project Description
Intense Engineering developed and manufactured a semi-automated system that fills 20 wells of a biomolecular diagnostic device consumable with up to 20 different liquids; volumes range from 200 to 500 microliters per well. The consumable are loaded and unloaded manually, but are automatically filled. The system accommodates reagent and part traceability. The system also includes automated heat-sealing of the consumable with a foil sealing barrier film. This semi-automatic proof-of-concept system functions as both a research and development tool and an interim production system for small lots of components required for regulatory testing.
